DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 16 May\, 1.30-3pm\nBarefoot Orchard (near Pilkington Library\, opposite University Lodge)\nFree\nNo booking required\nFruit Routes walk 1.30-3pm\nFollowed by wild teas at LAGS garden from 3-4pm\n\nAll are welcome for a seasonal sensory wander around Fruit Routes – an enhanced habitat on the campus providing free food for humans and wildlife from over 150 fruit and nut trees. \nExplore the 1km route of edible fruit and nut trees\, learn more about the orchards and share different perspectives on this cultural resource. This event is for students\, staff and the local community with Fruit Routes artist/coordinator Mita Solanky & Fruit Routes founding artist/coordinator Anne-Marie Culhane. \nThe walk will leave from the Barefoot orchard at 1.30pm\, ending at LAGS (Landscape and Gardening Society) garden for foraged teas from 3pm. LAGS garden and shed is at the back of Car Park 5 on campus. \nThis event is part of a programme of activities at the University to mark Mental Health Awareness Week\, which runs from 15-21 May. \nFind out more about LAGS. \nAccessibility\nAccess to Fruit Routes is mostly level with some walking off paths. If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like us to be aware of when running the event\, please email environment@lboro.ac.uk in advance and we will do our best to accommodate them. \nGetting here\nThere is free car parking on campus (subject to availability on the day) and the nearest car park is opposite the library. DESCRIPTION:The LAGS student society has been going for over 10 years. Join students\, staff and local people to celebrate harvest\, walk Fruit Routes\, enter the campus apple bake off and learn about food growing on campus. \n12:00 onwards: Apple pressing with Transition Loughborough press – help press juice or bring your own apples to make fresh juice or cider. \n13:00: Fruit Routes Walk and nature Scavenger Hunt – Fruit Routes is a project growing fruit and nut trees on a 1km route on campus for you to enjoy and harvest. \n14:30: Bake Off Judging with tea and coffee. All can enter bake off with locally grown fruit – savoury\, sweet and preserves and prizes for adults and children. \n15:00: Craft Activities – pumpkin carving\, nature collage\, crafts \nProduce Swap Shop – bring fruit\, chutney\, veg or other locally grown things to swap. \nFacebook: Landscaping Loughborough \nAt LAGS garden\, back of car park 5\, behind EHB\n(Edward Herbert Building) \nStudents\, staff\, local community are all welcome!
